Making a Difference

At Rotaract Langata, we turn small acts of kindness into lasting change. Through collaboration and volunteerism, we create a meaningful impact in our communities.

Phase one complete!

Tipatet Emakoko Primary School

We’re thrilled to announce the successful launch of Phase One of our signature project at Tipatet-Emakoko Primary School, carried out in partnership with African Inspired and our mother club, the Rotary Club of Nairobi – Lang’ata.

This milestone involved the installation of three 5,000-litre water tanks, a crucial step toward enhancing the school’s sanitation and access to clean water. The impact will be felt immediately, enhancing health, hygiene, and daily life for both students and staff.

In addition to the infrastructure work, we also hosted an inspiring mentorship session. The day was filled with curiosity, energy, and hopeful conversations, planting seeds of ambition and resilience in the hearts of the young learners.

Empowering Young Minds

Kipepeo Safe Space

Since 2021, the Rotaract Club of Lang’ata has proudly supported the Kipepeo Safe Space in Ongata Rongai—an after-school centre serving children from the Kware slum.

What began with just 20 children now supports over 2,800 students, providing a safe space for them to learn, study, and grow. We’ve helped provide books, stationery, and furniture, and continue to sponsor academic and mentorship programs.

From chess tournaments to math contests and Teen Mom mentorship, the centre is more than a study space—it’s a hub for empowerment and community change.

Together with our partners, we remain committed to sustaining and growing this vital initiative.

Empowering Young Minds

Maisha Safe House

Each visit to Maisha Safe House is a powerful reminder of what community, care, and connection can do. In partnership with the Rotaract Club of JKUAT, we continue to support this safe space dedicated to young female survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, pregnant teens, and teen mothers.

The Safe House offers more than shelter—it offers healing, hope, and a second chance. During our time there, we share not just supplies, but stories, encouragement, and unwavering solidarity.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’re able to bring meaningful support through: Food donations, Sanitary towels, Diapers, School supplies, Financial contributions.

These acts of kindness are more than items—they’re a symbol of dignity and a step toward a better future.

Every visit is a celebration of resilience. Every contribution is a declaration that no one walks alone.

Together, we’re building a world where safety, support, and opportunity are not privileges—but rights.
